Marcy Feldman

Cornucopia’s catering director, Marcy Feldman, brings culinary expertise and creativity to her multiple roles as the company’s principal event and party planner, menu designer and recipe developer. She is an experienced caterer with over two decades in the field, preceded by stints at the Conference Center at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel’s catering department, and at Rococo Catering.
Feldman’s passion for food comes naturally. As a young child, she helped her “Nana” lovingly prepare many holiday meals for friends and family. Feldman pulled up a chair to the counter where she watched and learned about Jewish heritage cooking at its best. Over time, Feldman began to develop her own creative versions of traditional foods, and soon she began to share these dishes with a growing circle of friends and clients.
Feldman was born in Chicago, but when she moved to Los Angeles her life was opened to an exciting and culturally diverse new world. Feldman’s love of her own family culinary traditions encouraged her love of other ethnic foods, cultures and traditions from around the world. Today Feldman’s inspiration sources range from Southern California’s Little Tokyo to Chinatown, from Little India to Thai Town, from the many taco stands that line the streets of Los Angeles…to a variety of international cuisines she has encountered in her travels across the globe.
As a catering manager, Feldman draws on all these various cuisines and her own creative ideas to develop menus and events that are perfect for each individual client. As a former nurse, Feldman also draws upon her experience in nutrition and health care to ensure that the food she prepares is not just delicious but also nutritious. “I try to make our food fun, healthy, seasonal, and locally-produced,” Feldman says.
